Control iTunes Connect Integration

We are excited to announce that our Web App has a whole new look. But that’s not all… we also now support iTunes Connect. That’s right, if you have an iOS app with subscription in-app purchases, you can now get, for the first time, key metrics such as Monthly Recurring Revenue or Churn. And if you also have an Android app, rest assured, we will roll-out support for Google Play subscription analytics very soon.

This is a big update because it paves the way for us to build a better product and integrate new features much faster.

User Interface Redesign

As we support more payment platforms and add more metrics to our Web and Mobile dashboards, ensuring a simple yet elegant user experience is critical. Like a kitchen counter, it’s easy to add more appliances, but it leaves the space crowded and messy — with no room to work. We don’t want that.

We did a lot of research and organized our key features so that the end result is a clean, user-friendly interface, and tailored for your business. Our new dashboard can display a lot of information, without being cluttered or overwhelming. Take a look:

Control Analytics Dashboard for Stripe, PayPal, Square and iTunes

With this update, we replaced the main Dashboard with dedicated pages for each metric, so you can get deeper insights into all of your KPIs. Depending on the type of payments your business processes (recurring, nonrecurring, or both), different metrics will be available. In the past, you needed to change your settings in order to see metrics specific to your business, but we now automatically show you the most relevant metrics based on your data history. The following Metrics pages are currently available (with more coming soon):

  • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
  • Revenue
  • Active Subscribers
  • Average Revenue Per User (ARPU)
  • Customer Churn
  • Lifetime Value (LTV)

  • Revenue
  • Customers
  • Average Revenue Per User (ARPU)
  • Average Order Value (AOV)

Blended (businesses with both recurring and nonrecurring transactions)

  • Blended Revenue
  • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
  • Blended Customers
  • Customers
  • Active Subscribers
  • Subscription ARPU
  • eCommerce ARPU
  • Average Order Value (AOV)
  • Customer Churn
  • Lifetime Value (LTV)

Each Metric page has the following features to help you dig deeper into your data:

Filter by Date

See daily activity for Revenue, MRR, ARPU, Customer, Active Subscribers, and AOV, and monthly activity for Churn and LTV. Customize intervals by selecting specific data or date range. For example, select a single day to view graph by intervals of hours or select 2-3 days range to view intervals of hours and days.

Filter by Platform

Choose to only view available metrics from selected connected payment platforms, including Stripe, PayPal, Square, or iTunes.

Filter by Country/Currency

Refine data by country or currency, with the ability to Save, View, Select, Update, and Delete Filters enabling you to customize segments for quick and easy analysis.

Trend Boxes

See at a glance trends from the past months for each metric. This new feature allows you to compare performance with the Last Month, 3 Months Ago, 6 Months Ago, and 1 Year Ago.

Graphs of Metrics Over Time

View your metrics presented as Line, Area, or Bar Graphs. If you have more than one platform, you will have the option to view graphs as combined data or split by platforms in a stacked graph.

Data Tables

See corresponding graph interval data in a table format. When viewing in the Combined Graph, the data table will show Total and % Change from the previous interval.

iTunes Connect Integration

Control iTunes Charges

Tracking revenue from mobile apps has been a challenge for many entrepreneurs selling on the Apple App Store. While iTunes Connect displays some useful metrics, it doesn’t supply any subscription analytics, which are essential for any app generating recurring revenue.

You can now connect your iTunes Connect account with Control by entering your unique Access Token. This will enable you to see your Monthly Recurring Revenue, Churn, and other key performance indicators.

Not only are we now providing subscription analytics for iTunes Connect, we but also iOS mobile app Charges and Customer lists. These lists allow app merchants to know which charges and customers are coming through via iTunes. This is a great timesaving feature for those using both iTunes Connect and another payment processor that Control supports, such as Stripe, PayPal, and/or Square.

Staying organized can be hard when managing multiple payment platforms — and harder if you are running multiple companies (like a boss!).

Control Creating Company

Our new Web dashboard allows you to create Companies to group your payment platforms, making it easy to separate your various revenue streams if you have, for instance, a main business and a side business. You can add as many payment platforms to a Company as you want, however, we currently have a limit of four Companies per Control account, but we are making improvements for you to add more soon.

Support for Companies in our Mobile apps will come later this month.

Detail View and Maps

Two of our most popular features are our Charges page and Customers page where we display in columns the data of your Charges and Customers. With this update, we made the two pages more insightful with enhanced filters that sit on top of the page, allowing you to find and analyze specific Charges and Customers faster. The detail view (accessible by clicking on one of your charge or customer) isn’t available in this release but will return very soon. In the meantime, you can still access it from our Mobile apps.

Similarly, our Maps feature which allows you to see at a glance which country generated, for your business, the most revenue, declines or chargebacks will also come back very soon. Our team is hard at work on making it even more insightful.

There is a lot more to discuss in this new update, but the best way to learn about it is to log in now on our new dashboard and see how your business is performing.
